Lästringe i juni 1987

Den 5 juni 1987 kallade SJ Banavdelning (som blev Banverket ett år senare) till invigning av en ny sorts räls (UIC 60) och dessutom en maskin som skulle lägga ut den. Starkt förenklat kan man säga att maskinen sög upp den gamla rälsen först och sedan lade den ut den nya. Invigningen ägde rum i det lilla samhället Lästringe mellan Järna och Nyköping.

För inbjudna inklusive pressen kördes extratåg Stockholm-Vagnhärad och sedan gick tre beställda bussar till Lästringe.
